Club Clique Mixtape #1

Clique sounds like a rather horrific retro 80's club night. Club Clique is not that night. Rather it is a twice monthly club night that delivers "digital dance, neo-disco and 21ST century explosive party pop" to some of Manchester city's most glamorous blowout kids. After being deemed "A club of the year" by Mixmag and "The city's hottest club night" by the Manchester Evening News, the team thought it about time to release their first ever mixtape. His dry wit and realisation that the competition is nothing more than a political points scoring contest that has little to do with music makes for excellent viewing. Chewy Chocolate Cookies NLLR Mixtape

Brooklyn based independent label No Love Lost Records (or NLLR) are currently swamping the scene with their high class Mixtape Project. You may remember I posted Mat Payne's mix the other day. Well now it's the turn of Anglo-French duo Chewy Chocolate Cookies whose volume seems to be inspired by, well, themselves.

Buffet Libre Tour

On February 2ND, the Buffet Libre boys will be embarking on a tour dubbed: The Music Tastes Better With You (see what they did there?)

Starting at Casio Royale at London's Barfly and ending up in Barcelona's Red Room, Buffet Libre promise a night of "spicy beats and bitter sweet pop, mixed with just the right dose of 80's sound".

John Hyde...Again?

In light of the numerous posts on the blog that concern a certain John Hyde, I'm starting to consider changing the name to: Check John Hyde or John Hyde's Available or some such like. Nonetheless, I feel pretty justified to post about him as not only does this guy churn out some rather delightful tunes, he's actually a nice guy to boot, as I found out after 'bumping' into him at the weekend. He was kind enough to send me a somewhat masterful megamix in which he stuffs the likes of Daft Punk and DFA 1979 in with Will Smith and Nirvana. Oh, and did I mention that this all happens inside of 4 minutes. Wha!?!
