Friendly Fires

A chance listen to Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show introduced me to Friendly Fires. Having just returned from playing shows in Los Angeles and New York, this Hertforshire based triplet are soon to embark on an extensive UK tour, furnishing venues with their danceable indie/electro/shoegaze sound. I kind of want to say Friendly Fires are Britain's answer to Van She, just without the album delays. Their eponymous debut is to be released 1ST September on XL.

    friendly fires are NOTHING like Van She!

    they actually have a distinctive sound, unlike VS who have no idea idea what they want to sound like and are really just remixers these days, let's face it.
