4 Minutes (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)

I couldn't give a damn who else remixed Madonna's 4 Minutes, not a damn. The only remix I was going to entertain listening to was Jacques Lu Cont's. Why? Well, not only does he poses a near perfect back catalogue of remix work, he was also the producer/brains behind Madonna's 2005 album Confessions On A Dance Floor, an I view with such I regard.

It seems the remixes of various tracks of of Cut Copy's In Ghost Colours are leaking out all over the place:

This is the one I'd been waiting for, Knightlife's End Edit of So Haunted, which does exactly what it says, expanding on the tracks psychedelic-dance outro that was gagging to be remixed:

Aeroplane has gone the opposite direction with their remix of Hearts On Fire. I guess there was only one way to go with this track: chill it from an electronic behemoth and take to the land of disco-funk.

Fred Falke

I always had Fred Falke down as kind of the poor mans Alan Braxe. I know those guys collaborate a lot, but I just assumed that Braxe was the brains behind the operation. I guess I couldn't have been more removed from the truth, as Falke has single handedley remixed Hot Chip, Ladyhawke and The Whitest Boy Alive (among others) celebrating his bass playing roots, creating some of the most compelling remixes of the year so far. Are we headed for an album release?
